Elsie Smith signed the Petition giving her address as Millburn Otago. In 1905, an Elsie Smith died. Her funeral left from the home of her nephew John Cowie. Miss Smith was 75. 

John Cowie’s wife was born Christina Smith and she also signed sheet 139 as Christina Cowie giving her address as Millburn. Christina may have actually been Elsie’s great-niece.
