Elizabeth Bruce was born in 1845 in Kirkwall, Orkney. She married John Muir in August 1870 in Sandy, Orkney and emigrated to New Zealand settling in Karitane. 

Elizabeth died in 1937 and is buried at the Waikouaiti Cemetery. 

Panel materials:  The base is an old white bed sheet. Buttons, lace and materials all from my stash of collecting from grandmother, mother and aunts.
